くそ、Portal 2は触ったその日から完全にハマっちゃったゲームのひとつだよ。私、いいパズルと引き込まれるストーリーがあるものにはすぐ夢中になるタイプなんだけど、これ……これはマジでヤバいレベル。もう何周したか分からないくらいやってるのに、起動するたびに子供みたいにワクワクしちゃう。

あのボロボロの部屋で目が覚めて動き始めた瞬間からもう掴まれる。ポータルを開けまくって、物理法則を好き勝手にぶっ壊せる感覚が本当に中毒性あるんだよね。部屋を30分くらいジッと睨んで考えて、突然「あっ！」ってひらめいて、めちゃくちゃエレガントにパズルを解いたときのあの満足感……他のゲームじゃほとんど味わえない。出来が良すぎて逆にソワソワするくらい。

で、キャラクターたち……もう最高。GLaDOSには完全にハート持ってかれたちゅう。あの話し方、優雅にバカにしながら試してくる感じ……最高にトキシックで大好き。プレイ中ずっと一人でゲラゲラ笑ってる。Wheatleyも最初は可愛い感じなのに、後半であんなカオスでカリスマ全開のクソ野郎になって、ライフをめちゃくちゃにされても憎みきれないんだよね。書き込みが愛情と毒たっぷりの天才的な出来。

キャンペーンはあっという間に終わっちゃうし、エンディング来ると「終わってほしくない……」ってほろ苦い気持ちになる。そのあと友達と協力モードやるとまた別次元で、叫び合って笑い合って、ジェルのジャンプとかライトブリッジ失敗したらお互いに責任押し付け合って……完全にカオスで最高に楽しい。二人で息ピッタリ合わせないと解けないパズルとかあって、それがまた興奮するんだよね。

ビジュアルも今見ても綺麗。清潔なラボと廃墟みたいな古びた部分のミックスが独特の空気感を出してる。音楽も……何箇所か鳥肌立つレベル。あの曲聴いただけで一瞬でApertureにトリップする。

まとめると、Portal 2は私がゲームにどハマりしてる理由を再確認させてくれる作品。頭いい気持ちにさせてくれて、笑わせてくれて、感動させてくれて、もっとやりたくなる。誰かに「絶対やるべきゲームは？」って聞かれたら、真っ先に挙げるうちの一つ。中毒性あって、賢くて、魂がある。そして私みたいなガチ勢は、これからも何度でも戻ってくるつもり。😺
