Okami HD Free Download - Game Review
Players will be able to choose between modern widescreen format or the original release’s 4:3 ratio. Interactive loading game screens from the original game are also included. Okami is a magical experience. Despite its age, this game has aged like fine wine. Its visuals are extremely limited and the devs poured so much heart and soul into every aspect around it that it creates such a wonderful package. As a result it creates a really timeless appeal that constantly left me impressed throughout the game. The expressive animation, the simple ink style, the beautiful tapestry artwork that feels authentic to the era, and a genius soundtrack.
The story is also a true epic and is really well done. The characters all have so much charm and are all so impactful to your journey. Okami's story is rich from start to finish, effortlessly moving between laugh out loud humour and genuinely devastating moments that hit far harder than I expected. Despite originally releasing years ago, it holds up perfectly today, helped immensely by a beautiful HD remaster that lets its timeless art style shine brighter than ever.

Okami was originaly released in 2006 on PlayStation 2. And I remember vaguely remeber my dad showing me it's trailer on demo disc. I played it on this system for the first time in cca 2016, a year before the second HD remaster released. And after finishing it, it became my #1 game in the world, for a reason.
From the first moment, I was glued to the monitor, swallowing the game. It's artstyle is unique, and for a game made for everyone, it really has some good jokes for adults. the story is a hit and miss for me. First part is great, you think how great the characters are written and map is greatly sized and full of events; for it's time.
Second part is also good. New characters, new areas, but I couldn't find myself getting attached that much to those newly introduced, After all, you spend more time with the characters from the beggining, then with the rest.
Third part of the game was meh. When game continued, I was like really? There's more? Why? Then new areas wowed me again. But it is comically short and uninteresting. But the ending is great and keeps you on edge.
Now, about 2 or 3 years back, I bought the HD version for PS 4, since I wanted to relive this game again as I haven't played it in years. And the fire reignited once again. Yes, the third part is still underwhelming compared to rest, but knowing the reason, I don't blame Clover Studio too much.
It's sad that said studio got closed prior to releasing this gem and that the sales of the original were so low, it is in Guinness World Records as most awarded game with lowest sales. But you won't make a bad decision dowloading this game.
