Finding Paradise

The operation is only done to people on their deathbeds, to fulfill what they wish they had done with their lives, but didn’t. Finding Paradise is the standalone 2nd full episode of To the Moon's series. It follows the life of the doctors' new patient, Colin, as they attempt to unravel a life that is split down the middle, and fulfill a wish that appears to be self-contradictory by nature. The soundtrack is also one of the highlights. It fits the emotional moments extremely well and does a lot of the heavy lifting when it comes to setting the mood. There are several moments where the music and the story work together perfectly. But in particular, I prefer the “To the Moon” theme.

As for the story itself, I really enjoyed it. I won't go into spoilers, but “Finding Paradise” deals with some pretty interesting themes about relationships, regrets, memories, and how we choose to remember our lives. It doesn't hit exactly the same way as “To the Moon” did for me, but it still has some genuinely emotional moments.
