BLACK SOULS

It's a RPGMaker game with the 2010s hand-drawn style like that of Witch's House and Ib. Anyway even though it seems like it's chasing the Dark Souls craze that happened way back, it is its own thing besides a couple of nods to Souls stuff. It's more of a horror, dark fantasy, turn-based RPG with focus on reimagining old fairytales. The gameplay feels like a pre-cursor to Fear and Hunger: Termina with how you can recruit companions as well as mess up their endings. If you want it for the raunchy stuff then you'll be disappointed because you need to patch the game and it's not as abundantly in your face as current games in the adult genre. Otherwise I do appreciate how the game focuses on making a genuinely dark and messed up story that I forgot that it had adult scenes because I was so immersed in the plot.
