Why is the download size so much even though the game on steam is like 45 gb, is there any way to combat this so it won't take me 8 hours to extract?

The issue with Far Cry 6 after the Windows 24H2 update might be due to compatibility or security patches blocking the game. Try updating Windows, running the game as an administrator, disabling antivirus/firewall
