Starbound
In Starbound, you create your own story - there’s no wrong way to play! You may choose to save the universe from the forces that destroyed your home, uncovering greater galactic mysteries in the process, or you may wish to forego a heroic journey entirely in favor of colonizing uncharted planets.
Starbound Free Download - Game Review
Settle down and farm the land, become an intergalactic landlord, hop from planet to planet collecting rare creatures, or delve into dangerous dungeons and lay claim to extraordinary treasures. Discover ancient temples and modern metropolises, trees with eyes, and mischievous penguins. Make use of hundreds of materials and over two thousand objects to build a sleepy secluded cabin in the woods, a medieval castle, underwater arcade, or even a space station. You have the tools to make the universe your own and modify the game to suit your play style - add new items, races, planet types, dungeons, and quests - the possibilities are limitless.

A game with huge potential. That sadly was abandoned by its devs. They released a fully working game with an ending, don't get me wrong. The thing is—they presented a lot of different systems and details. But undeveloped are all of them. Ships and stations that you can raid or visit—only a few variations of each, and it gets boring after a few visits. Planets—few cities (also only a few variations), etc. And there are a lot of things like this. The same goes for the story—it's literally repeating the exact same thing for each in-game species. The same goes with quest system—you literally have few quest variations, and they repeat over and over and over.
