Sludgineers

There’s a really satisfying gameplay loop here. Clearing the land, watching it get restored, earning resources and unlocking new skills gives you plenty of reasons to keep going. Even the occasional grind feels worthwhile as you build up your refinery and equipment. And there’s a nice little giggle waiting for you at the end. My only real niggle is the purple sludge-refining machine. It is tediously slow, and I couldn’t find any upgrades that meaningfully increase its speed. This makes some achievements unnecessarily drawn out, leaving you sitting around waiting for refinement while replaying completed levels simply because there’s nothing else left to unlock. You can essentially finish the game long before you actually need all those upgrades
