Nocturnals
This game was created as my version of a love letter to my partner. Follow the story of Ted as he navigates the abandoned town of Ruddleside amidst the post apocalypse, finding a solitary companion in Diego. Your choices determine whether Diego will bond with Ted and help him continue his search for surviving communities, or whether the pair will face difficulties and challenges that put them at odds with each other whilst trying to escape the horrors within Ruddleside.
Nocturnals Free Download - Game Review
The characters and plot, though simple, are effective and well thought out. The graphics are simple as well but instead of being just "bad," they bring a sense of nostalgia and you can tell how hard the creator worked. Once you learn the background of Nocturnals, it becomes even better. A love letter in game form for your boyfriend and the main characters based on the two?? sobbing. This game immediately caught my attention, not only because it's post-apocalyptic, but because it stood out from the monotonous overflow of games that I, personally, was seeing.. Inscryption

Honestly, this game was great, but had some short-comings. The game has a very easy story of following a young man named Ted after he's knocked out in a car crash and saved by another guy named Diego who wants to get out of Ruddleside which Ted is capable of doing for him and their story revolves around this. The characters, while not very drawn-out are likable and aren't terrible, the graphics are simplistic and pretty nice especially when you consider that the developer came from Scratch (or at least I believe so since the artstyle and voice acting of Ted/Diego is extremely familiar from a lot of games that came out on there) before this and absolutely dominated that scene and the QTEs aren't horrible and feel like something that Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls and just PSN exclusives have with their impressive interactivity of them. The game though was very short which I am somewhat disappointed by, but at the same time, it also makes replaying the game not so unbearable, even though I probably won't as I got the best ending on the first playthrough.
