God of War III Remastered

FOR ANYONE HAVING PROBLEMS OR CONFUSION WITH THE SETUP

If you're having trouble setting up God of War III Remastered, don't worry. Follow this guide from the beginning. It explains where to find the required files, how to set up the folders, and how to configure the launcher.

STEP 1 – Find Your Game Folder

1. Open File Explorer by pressing Win + E.
2. Go to the drive where you installed God of War III Remastered.
3. Open the main game folder.
4. You should find a folder named God of War III Remastered.
5. Open it and then open the game folder.

Your folder location may look like this:

Your drive letter may be different, such as D, E, F, G or H.

STEP 2 – Find eboot.bin

1. Open the game folder.
2. Click the search box in the top-right corner.
3. Type eboot.bin and press Enter.
4. Wait until the search is complete.
5. You may find two files with the same name.
6. Right-click the relevant file and select Open file location.

Make sure you are inside the correct game folder.

STEP 3 – Check the Required Files

Open the sce_module folder inside your game folder.

Check whether these two files are present:

Make sure both files are present and their sizes are not 0 KB.

Your main game folder should look similar to this:

If either file is missing, you need to re-extract or obtain a complete, legitimate game dump.

STEP 4 – Place Run Me!.bat

1. Find the file named Run Me!.bat from the setup package.
2. Copy it.
3. Open your actual game folder.
4. Paste Run Me!.bat directly inside the game folder.

It should be in the same location as eboot.bin, not inside sce_module.

Only run batch files from a trusted source.

STEP 5 – Create a Save Folder

1. Go back to your main installation folder.
2. Right-click on an empty space.
3. Select New → Folder.
4. Name the folder:

1. Open this folder.
2. Copy its location from the File Explorer address bar.

Keep this path ready. You will need it when configuring the launcher.

STEP 6 – Open the Launcher

1. Open your God of War III Remastered launcher.
2. Select GAME from the left-side menu.
3. Find the FOLDERS section.

You will see options such as:

1. Game folder
2. Update folder
3. Saves folder

STEP 7 – Select the Game Folder

1. Click Browse next to Game folder.
2. Navigate to your God of War III Remastered installation.
3. Open the God of War III Remastered folder.
4. Select the game folder.

Important: Select the game folder itself, not the sce_module folder or its parent folder.

STEP 8 – Configure the Other Folders

Update folder (Optional)

1. Leave this empty if you don't have a separate game update folder to configure.
2. If you have a separate update dump, select its correct folder.

Saves folder

1. Click Browse.
2. Find the save god folder you created earlier.
3. Select it.

Patches folder

1. Leave it empty if you aren't using any patches.

STEP 9 – Save Your Settings

1. Check all the selected folder locations.
2. Click Save at the bottom of the launcher.
3. Close the launcher.
4. Open it again.

Your settings should now be saved.

STEP 10 – If You Get the Game Dump Incomplete Error

If the launcher displays this error:

Don't panic.

Follow these steps:

1. Open your actual game folder.
2. Open sce_module.
3. Check whether both required files are present.
4. If they are present, go back to the launcher.
5. Click Browse next to Game folder.
6. Select the exact game folder where you checked the files.
7. Click Save.
8. Restart the launcher.

If the files are missing or empty, obtain a complete, legitimate game dump rather than downloading random replacement files.

STEP 11 – Start the Game

Once everything is configured:

1. Open the launcher.
2. Go to the GAME section.
3. Check that the Game folder and Saves folder are correct.
4. Click Save.
5. Click Play.

That's it! Your setup is ready. Enjoy God of War III Remastered!

A QUICK REMINDER: The most important thing is to select the correct game folder in the launcher. It must be the folder containing eboot.bin, sce_module and sce_sys.
