Oh Deer is a multiplayer hide-and-seek game where one player plays as a hunter and up to four others play as deer. The hunter's role is to use sound, gadgets, and pure skill to locate and eliminate the other players before nightfall. However, knowing if the deer in your sights is a player or not is the true challenge. The Deer's role is to hide from the hunter by blending in with a handful of AI deer scattered around the map. Eating food is a priority to keep hunger at bay. But improper timing when eating could mean the difference between life and death.
Forests are the perfect place to hide. With lots of trees, bushes, and cute flowers, deer can live happily for years without any worries. That is, until hunting season begins... Tall trees, thick bushes, and plenty of shade sets up a perfect ambush. It was really fun for a short amount of time. We laughed a lot, but quickly moved on once we had seen what little is on offer. Super worth it provided you both A) Have friends to play with and B)Don't need to extract more than a couple of hours of playtime out of it. Simple dumb fun with friends. Doesn't have too much staying power on its own, but the custom rulesets helped add a lot of spice. I do feel like there could be a bit more customization with that though, such as separating the Deer and Wendigo speed values, and the values for the Hunter's stamina draining vs increasing/decreasing.
